Ocean City, Maryland, features one of the best boardwalks in America, lined with restaurants, bars, shops and amusements, and one of the best beaches with over 10 miles of beautifully maintained sand that’s ready and waiting for fun. While that is enough fun for some folks, this tour also features a guided tour of Assateague Island (home to more than 300 wild ponies) and the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum.

Day 1: Ocean City, MD-Evening on the Boardwalk- Today, travel takes you to Ocean City, MD where you enjoy a three-night stay at the Hampton Inn. Dinner is on your own this evening, but you can enjoy a free evening on the Boardwalk. Stretching nearly three miles, the boardwalk in Ocean City is considered one of the “Best Boardwalks” in America. It is lined with hotels, restaurants, bars and shops and amusements. You’ll find classic fare from pizza and pit beef, burgers and wraps, French fries and overstuffed sandwiches as well as spicy Maryland steamed crabs, sizzling steaks and seafood caught just offshore. And of course, world-famous saltwater taffy for dessert, Ocean City Boardwalk restaurants won’t disappoint.
Day 2: Free Day in Ocean City- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and free day in Ocean City. Explore local attractions on your own, do a little shopping or take a Rocker Boat Cruise, there are almost endless options to fill your day. Head to the beach and experience 10 miles of beautifully maintained sand that’s ready and waiting for fun. Relax on the beach and catch some rays or take a swim in the Atlantic. If you are looking for a little more adventure, there is surfing, fishing and even kayaking and canoeing. During the summer, you’ll find free activities including movies, concerts and fireworks! Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 3: Guided Tour of Assateague Island and Berlin-Ocean City Life- Saving Station Museum-Free Evening– After breakfast, your day begins with a guide boarding your bus and taking you to Assateague Island for a search of wild ponies! Almost 300 horses live in the wild on the Maryland side of Assateague.
Then, you will travel to Berlin to shop the many Boutiques and shops as well as find lunch on your own (The Island Creamery is a local favorite for a sweet treat) Berlin is where “The Runaway Bride” and “Tuck Everlasting” were filmed! After your guided tour, you will have some time on your own to do some exploring around the boardwalk, relax at the beach, or stay at the hotel.
Today also includes a visit to the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum. This historic building displays Ocean City’s past & the history of the U.S. Life-Saving Services. Located at the southernmost end of Ocean City’s famed Boardwalk, the museum boasts one of the fishing fleet’s coming and going. Exhibits include US Life-Saving Service of Delmarva day, Surf’s Up, Aquarium Room, Children’s Discovery Room and much more.
Enjoy a free evening for dinner on your own, plus all the activities on the boardwalk.
Day 4-Depart for Home- After Breakfast, depart for home.
