Day 1: Dublin Ireland– Today you will be transferred to the Cleveland airport for your flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Day 2: Dublin– Arrive today in Dublin, Ireland where on arrival, you will be met at the airport by your guide and driver for a city tour. Along the way, see major sights such as Trinity College, Dublin’s Georgian square such as Merrion Square & Fitzwilliam Suare with colorful front doors famous worldwide. See the National Library, Government Buildings, and many more. Stop at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Ireland’s largest church this afternoon. Dinner this evening is included at a local restaurant. Overnight in Dublin.
Day 3: Country Wicklow, Ireland – Guinness Storehouse – This morning after breakfast, set off for Country Wicklow. Situated South of Dublin, Country Wicklow is a coastal beauty in Ireland’s Ancient East. It also holds the special privilege of being one of the three counties that make up Ireland’s “Viking Triangle”, so called because of the special significant Viking influence to be found here, in Waterford and Wexford from the invading Norsemen. Explore the Powerscourt House and Gardens, it is a large country estate in the 14th century complete with massive landscape gardens.
Returning to Dublin, stop and tour the Guinness Storehouse and experience the history, heart, and soul of Ireland’s most beloved beer. Learn about the brewery process, history making, and marketing ideas, before ending with a pint on the rooftop car. Return to the hotel and enjoy a free evening with dinner on your own.
Day 4: Cashel, Blarney & Killarney– This morning, depart for Cashel with your first stop of the day at the Rock of Cashel, Explore the Rock, situated upon old and hallowed ground that dominates the countryside for miles. Continue to Blarney where you will stop and enjoy free time, shopping at Blarney Wollen Mills or a visit to Blarney Castle on your own. Then check into your hotel in Killarney for a two-night stay. Tonight, dinner is on your own.
Day 5: Ring of Kerry – Today features the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most popular drives. Starting and ending in Killarney, the route around the Iveragh Peninsula features dramatic coastal views, rugged mountains, lakes, and charming villages like Sneem and Waterville. This Evening, enjoy a three-course meal at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Bunratty Castle – Depart Killarney today and travel to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Bunratty Castle features over 30 buildings recreating Irish life in the 19th century. Meet customed characters in the authentic farming village setting depicting a school. post office, pub, doctors’ office, printer, and more. Medieval furnishings, tapestries, and works of art capture the mood of the times. Dinner tonight is on your own. End the day in Limerick for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Galaway, Ireland – Cliffs of Moher – Today, travel to Galaway, perhaps the most “Irish” city in Ireland. Galway is considered the cultural heart of Ireland and is home to a slew of music, arts and food festivals. Enjoy a city tour including the Cathedral and the Claddagh area. There will also be free time for lunch on your own before returning to Limerick to visit the Cliffs of Moher Visitors Center. Nestled into the hillside, its unique cave-like structure accommodates a full range of facilities and attractions underground. The centerpiece of the Visitor Center is a circular exhibition space that has a domed roof structure, with a diameter of 25 meters. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 8: Clonmacnoise, Ireland– Today, travel to Clonmacnoise, a monastic site overlooking the River Shannon offering peaceful walks through the old monastery ruins. Continue to Cabra Castle for your overnight stay. A farewell three course dinner will also be included this evening at the castle restaurant.
Day 9: Depart for Home– Return to Dublin this morning for your flight back to US. On arrival in Cleveland, a motorcoach will be waiting to transfer your group home.
